What's Happening to the Kids
What's happened to our kids? in the past, kids listened to Nursery rhymes, went to school and went to bed. Now they give us lip, text, skype & 'diss' us. Many say it's a lack of Family values, consumerism, bad parents, Socialism, sex, lack of Patriotism, bad role models, drugs, computers, popstars, Tinternet, (whatever!) It is probably all of these things, but maybe its meant, to be. Could it be that our children are outgrowing us, they know longer want to follow in our footsteps. They are going somewhere else, they are happening! & taking Humanity in a different direction. Children younger & younger are becoming, more confident especially since the arrival of the Web.
The older generations are getting left behind. I believe, its not just, youth feeling betrayed by us, it is saying to Hell with you! Something is going down, Aspergers? ADHD etc. these are not diseases, this is evolution! Children are growing into the Future, as if it were a new pair of shoes. They are the first born of what is coming. Longevity, Technology Atheism, Obsession with appearance, (the attainment of perfection) and especially the exceptance of the transcience of relationships. I'm not going to try to predict the outcome, but I believe Humanity is about to really transmogrify, it is about to re invent itself, okay, as I said we caused it, but there's no going back. After all, since the rise of the www. the geek has already inherited the Earth. As we look outward toward the stars, it won't be a Homo Sapian that tries to conquer it, it'll be the next evolutionary stage of man. In other words our replacements. Nonsense? take a look around it's already begun! look at our Brave New Kids, its happening now. Good luck to them I say!
